Use shampoos/conditioners that specialize in moisturizing dry-rooted hair, have those dead ends trimmed off, and (believe it or not) soak your hair in diluted cranberry juice to maintain that healthy red look!

Some products have conditionars that you can leave in your hair all day...

Use shampoo%26amp;conditioner regularly. If you already do, and it is "specialized"(like, body envy,anti-frizz, etc.)Use an anti- residue formula. As for split ends, very sorry, you will have to just cut them.

Well, theres many different things you can do to make your hair silky smooth. One way is going to the drugstore and getting a Conditioning Mask. I recomend Neutrogena ($9) put it through clean washed hair and leave it in overnight wearing a plastic cap. When you rinse it in the morining it should feel very silky.

Or a home method mix 1/4th cup of Virgin Olive Oil and 1 egg raw and mix together. Put it through your hair and let it sit for 15 mintues, after wash and conditon .

If you don't like your red hair get a box of color from the drug store and just coloring it alone will make it softer. Only if you don't plan on using bleach. That will just make it worse.

Try to avoid using any blow dryers or flat irons, curling irons and such. This is very damaging to the folicle.

Good Luck:)

my hair used to be like that, try bed heads" self absorbed" hair conditioner, they have it at walmart,kmart,..etc leave it in your hair for two minutes wash it out and it will keep your hair really soft and smooth no matter how dry it is, also get infusium leave in conditioner and a spray bottle and spray it in your hair everyday when you get out of the shower, it has vitamins in it that will make your hair much healthier, and last but not least, get a trim to get rid of those dead ends. hope i helped, good luck.

Get a haircut, first of all. If you're happy with your current one, then just a good trim- maybe an inch or two off. Use an extremely moisturizing shampoo and conditioner- Avalon Organics is a good brand. You may also want to perform a weekly deep conditioning treatment (below).

On dry, brushed hair, use mayonnaise. Wrap your hair in saran wrap, with the mayonnaise still on it, and then wrap a heated towel over that- fresh out of the dryer, if you like. Then leave it for an hour or so, replacing the towel with another heated one as it cools if you like. After, rinse and shower like normal.

I'm assuming that you're a natural redhead? If not, then don't dye your hair for a while. Give the stuff a chance to recover first, dye is harsh on hair and bleach is worse.

dye it. or use conditioner twice!

First you should be getting your hair trimmed every 4 - 6 weeks. So start out by getting a trim.

Next Don't wash your hair everyday. Believe it or not, if you can go weekly, you are giving your hair a treat. There is one exception however... very fine hair.

Unless your hair is very fine and gets oily very quickly, try not to wash your hair too often. The natural oil working its way down the strands is actually healthy.

Also, remember that you get what you pay for...Try to stay away from cheaper shampoo's and conditioner's. Don't get whats on sale just because its on sale. You need to get whatever is best for your head. If you have dry hair look for something that has moisturizer in it. You may also want to get a deep conditoner or try a leave in conditoner.

Have you tried a "Serum"? Serum is used to protect your hair from heat. ie. blow dryer, flat iron, and curling iron. I use Fantasia Olive Moisturing Serum, it cost about $9.00. But no matter what kind of Serum you tend to buy look to spend anywhere from

$7 - $15 . Its light weight so it doesn't weigh your hair down like grease.

Hope this helps you out!
