Just remember that if your hair is dark get a bright red cos it won't take as well.

my hair was brown and i put some burgundy/red in it and i looove it! i also get a lot of compliments on it. so i say go for it!

It depends on the color of your natural hair, really. I wouldn't just get the top because then it just looks like your roots have grown out. Streaks would be cute if you had brown hair or blonde. The tips would also be very cute. When you get your hair dyed red though, you always want to get it dyed with a shade brighter than what you really want. Red fades out veryyy quickly, so you won't get to keep your color that long.
