My sister and her husband have red hair. What is the chance their new baby will be a ginger kid.?

Actually, there is only about a 20% chance. The color red for hair is the ressive gene, and usually is random for those who have it. For example, my husband has bright red hair, but both of his parents and all of his sibling s have brown hair. I have blonde hair. Both our sons have brown hair, neither one of them had any trace of the red color. Most likly, the red color in hair skips a generation. Their new baby might not have red hair, but their grandkids probablly will!

Congrats on your sisters new baby!
